ELECTION RULES & ETHICS POLICY
ELECTION RULES - BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors shall consist of nine (9) Directors; however, the number may be changed at any time by an amendment. A Director shall serve a two-year term and is subject to reelection. There is no limit to the number of terms a Director may serve. A Director must be a homeowner in the Shorecliffs housing tract.
In November of each year, the President of the Association will appoint three members to the Nominating Committee, one of whom will also be designated as Chairman. The committee will be instructed to present a slate of nominees, as needed, to replace directors whose terms of office will expire at the next annual meeting. Current Directors whose terms are up may also run for reelection.
Voting may be done by mail or in person on the day of the Annual Meeting, which is held on the second Monday in January at 6:00 p.m.
At the beginning of each new term, both current and newly elected Directors will nominate and elect the following officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
